Is there an age restriction to attend Kidney Komedy Night?

Yes. This is an adult-only show. You must be of legal drinking age in the province or territory of the show you wish to attend.

How much of the ticket money and other revenue is paid to the organizers of the show?

None. The organizers, the event volunteers and the comics all donate their time and energy to the event so that the most money possible goes to the endowment fund.

Is there smoking at the event?

No, the showroom itself is non-smoking at all times. Smoking is permitted outdoors, or in designated smoking areas only.

Is there any special information needed for GROUPS who want to go to Kidney Komedy Night?

Definitely! Groups are considered to be more than 4 people. All bookings and ticket purchases should be made a minimum of 3 weeks prior to the show if you want the group to be able to sit together! Otherwise there is little or no chance that you will all get seated at the same table or even in the same area of the venue.

For group bookings, it is best to have all the tickets pre-purchased by one individual, then have your full party meet shortly before the doors open - so everyone can get their ticket and you can all be seated as a group.

Group tickets can also be picked up at the Kidney Foundation Officeweeks ahead of the show, but all the tickets must be picked up by the person who's credit card was used for the purchase.

Feel free to contact us regarding more group booking information.

Must I pay in advance or can I buy my tickets at the door?

You can purchase tickets either in advance or at the door, but the only way to ensure you get tickets for the show is to buy them in advance! There are usually more than one location you can buy your tickets from in advance, or you can purchase tickets over the phone.

What is rush seating?

Rush seating means that patrons are seated on a first-come, first-seated basis. There are no reserved seating locations except for group bookings and for our VIP sponsors. Arrive early to get the best seats!

Is there food & beverage service during the show?

Absolutely! Servers will come by and take your orders on a regular basis through the entire night. You will require a credit card if you wish to start a tab, or just pay as you go.

Note: The show food menu is mostly appetizers. If you want a full upscale dinner, we suggest you dine before the show at the Mojave Grill located right in the building. You will even get a discount there when you present your Kidney Komedy Night tickets!

How long is the show?

The show generally lasts approx.
2 1/2 to 3 hours, including a 30 minute intermission.

Is there profanity in the show?

Chances are that there will be some use of profanity or adult material in the course of the event. We do not censor the show and the comics understand the spirit of the event.

Why is this a show that you claim I can't see anywhere else?

Because of the level and quantity of the talent that is on stage at our show. You have to remember that these comics donate their time to this event. If we were to pay them for their time, plus the overhead of the event - you would be paying many times the price you pay for this show.

But, in the spirit of the event, we are able to bring you many amazingly talented comedians to one stage for one night - in honor of Kerry Talmage, a comedian widely known and respected in the comedy circuit.

Why is there an Intermission?

Well, it's a long packed show - and you won't want to get up to go to the bathroom and miss something! As well, the intermission gives people the chance to bid at the silent auction, pick up souvenirs, buy raffle and draw tickets - or even sneak outside for a minute or two.

But don't be late coming back from the intermission! The show will start without you; and you never want the comedian on stage to notice you sneaking in... you may become part of the show!

Must I pay in advance or can I buy my tickets at the door?

You can purchase tickets either in advance or at the door, but the only way to ensure you get tickets for the show is to buy them in advance! There are usually more than one location you can buy your tickets from in advance, or you can purchase tickets over the phone.
