Sponsorship is a great form of advertising and marketing for companies. It provides a unique tie to the community at a level that is personally significant to those involved in the event, and to those who are attracted to the event.
Kidney Komedy Night provides businesses the opportunity to be part of an event that is extremely positive and wildly hilarious - all while generating vital funds for a national Canadian charity.
One marketing "rule of thumb" applies to sponsorship more than all other marketing beliefs: People become far more interested in businesses who have a corporate outlook that echoes their own personal interests, cares and beliefs - just as they react positively to other people who have views similar to their own.
Kidney Komedy night provides corporations the chance to promote themselves through an event that touches lives in a positive way - all while showing your corporate spirit and advertising your positive message!
This is why sponsorhip advertising generates for more consumer loyalty than traditional brand advertising. It builds a connection between the sponsoring company, and those who have a particular interest in the event or fundraiser that is being sponsored. It creates a personal tie!
In this case, Kidney Komedy Night is an event that is high energy, huge fun, and incredibly pertinent in a way that touches the life of every single Canadian - from children with diabetes to the elderly.
Sponsorship also reaches beyond the event itself, where the public advertising and promoting of Kidney Komedy Night provides additional exposure for you - a great added benefit to an already fantastic advertising event!

Sponsorship provides the sponsoring company with exposure in the form of event advertising and branding. Donation is simply payment in exchange for a tax reciept. Those who donate do not get event exposure or promotional opportunities, where sponsors do.
No, sponsorship provides the company with event exposure and advertising in exchange for their financial involvement.
Yes, if the products or services you provide offset expenses that the event would otherwise incur.
In special cases if the products or services enhance the event, or provide a significant benefit to the comics who donate their time to make the show a success, then we will look at you becoming an event sponsor of Kidney Komedy Night.
Sponsorshipiis seen by the government as a legitimate business advertising expense. You would put all sponsorship expenses under your advertising budget, which is considered part of your company's cost of business, which in effect makes them tax deductible for your company. Unfortunately no. Your ticket purchase provides a significant value to you already by providing admission to a fantastic show. The value of the show is worth considerably more than the price of the ticket.
Yes, the minimum level of cash or equivalent involvement is $500.00. The maximum is in the many thousands of dollars; and is dependant on whether the show is in one city, or more than one city.
Not in addition to any ticketing agreements that are already included as part of your sponsorship program. Tickets to the show are highly sought after, and their revenue forms a primary source for the endowment!
Is there a benefit for me in signing a multi-year sponsorship agreement vs. signing a new sponsorship agreement annually?
Yes, as the event continues to grow, sponsorship rates will also increase. Those companies that have a multi-year sponsorship agreement benefit from a fixed sponsorship cost every year for the full term of their agreement avoiding cost increases. We offer sponsorship packages on a 1 to 5 year option. Multi-year agreements also allow sponsors and Kidney Komedy Night to plan in advance for unique programs and cross promotional involvement.
